Nose An intense, spicy aroma with aromas of dark berries and tobacco
Palate Savoury and structured with a full, warm palate set against a firm acidity, this wine showcases flavours of ripe cherry, blackberry and gooseberry. A grippy tannin and long finish, great for drinking now or cellaring away.
Food Pairing Pears baked with Roquefort cheese & walnuts.

Notes The vineyard follows principals of low intervention to express the outstanding Villányi terroir. Founded in 1998 by Horst Hummel who's great grandfather had been winegrower in Vojvodina until 1945. Kékfrankos is the Hungarian name for Blaufrankisch, sharing similar characteristics with Beaujolais. The "Spatz" was hand harvested, unfined and aged for 18 months on French oak.
